Fuel prices in Cyprus continue to rise sharply. The national average price of diesel has reached €1.947 per litre, while at the cheapest stations it can be bought for €1.865 and at the most expensive for €2.076. The average price of unleaded 95-octane petrol is €1.677 per litre. The minimum price is €1.599, while the maximum is €1.789.
Since March 1, 95-octane petrol has increased in price by 27.5%. At that time, the average price was €1.315 per litre, compared with €1.677 now. In absolute terms, the increase amounts to 36.2 cents per litre. Diesel has risen even more sharply. The average price increased by 37.8% — from €1.413 per litre on March 1 to €1.947 now. This represents an increase of 53.4 cents per litre.
The rise in prices has been influenced by developments on the international energy market amid the war in the Middle East. The Cyprus government previously reduced fuel excise duty by 8.3 cents per litre, but the subsequent increase in petroleum product prices has effectively reduced the impact of this measure to a minimum.
According to the latest official data from the Consumer Protection Service, rising petroleum product prices remain one of the main factors putting upward pressure on prices in Cyprus. In August 2026, annual inflation reached 3.5%, compared with 2.9% in July, 3.1% in June, 2.5% in May and 2.8% in April. Petroleum products rose in price by 20.3% year on year.

When choosing a petrol station, a difference of just a few cents per litre can be significant for drivers who use their cars regularly. For example, when filling a 50-litre tank, the difference between €1.865 and €2.076 amounts to more than €10 per tank.
Where fuel is cheapest in Cyprus
In Nicosia, the average diesel price is €1.935 per litre. The minimum price is €1.869. At this price, fuel is sold at several stations, including ENI at 125 Larnakos Avenue in Pallouriotissa, FILL N GO at 184 Larnakos Avenue in Aglantzia and at 9 Stadiou Street in Pera Chorio, as well as at selected EKO and PETROLINA stations.
The highest diesel price in the Nicosia district is €2.039. This price has been recorded at ESSO stations at 14 Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue and 37 Archbishop Michael Avenue in Strovolos, as well as at ENI at 220 Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue.
For 98-octane petrol, the average price in Nicosia is €1.664. The lowest is €1.599 and the highest is €1.749. In Limassol, the average diesel price reaches €1.957. The cheapest offer is €1.896 at STAROIL at 40 Dimokratias Street. The highest price is €2.076 at PETROLINA in Agios Athanasios.
For 98-octane petrol, the average price in Limassol is €1.684, the minimum is €1.634 at STAROIL, and the maximum is €1.789 at PETROLINA. In Paphos, diesel costs an average of €1.977 per litre. The lowest price is €1.928 at ESSO at 80 Archbishop Makarios III Avenue in Chloraka. The highest is €2.040 at SHELL at 3 Archbishop Makarios III Avenue in Timi.
The average price of 98-octane petrol in Paphos is €1.707, the minimum is €1.676, and the maximum is €1.759. In Larnaca, the average diesel price is €1.941. The lowest price is €1.865 at SHELL on the Kalo Chorio Larnaca road and PETROLINA on Ammochostou Avenue in Kalo Chorio. The maximum price is €1.999 at ESSO on Faneromenis Avenue in Larnaca.
The average price of 95-octane petrol in Larnaca is €1.675. The lowest is €1.613 at FILL N GO at 1 Larnakos Avenue in Pyrga and EKO at 12 28 Oktovriou Street in Kornos. The highest is €1.725 at PETROLINA at 3 Dionysiou Solomou Street in Choirokoitia.
In the free areas of Famagusta, the average diesel price is €1.952. The cheapest option is €1.924 at STAROIL near the motorway exit towards Liopetri on the E309 road. The highest price is €1.998 at ENI at 237 1 Apriliou Street in Paralimni. The average price of 95-octane petrol here is €1.685, the minimum is €1.662 at STAROIL near Liopetri, and the maximum is €1.725 at ENI in Paralimni.
