An electric motor is not only economical but also eco-friendly. The whole world is gradually transitioning to hybrid cars, and in some countries, electric cars are gaining popularity. Of course, the latter can have a high price, plus charging stations are not available everywhere. Nevertheless, progress does not stand still, and people are increasingly abandoning gasoline or gas engines.

Ford Mustang Mach-E

The idea of transforming the sports Mustang into a crossover, and even with electric drive, was quite bold. Nevertheless, Ford's risk paid off completely: the car received the warmest reviews and was awarded first place in the electric car ranking by Consumer Reports.

The Mustang Mach-E is available in three trim levels (Select, Premium, and California Route 1) and with two drive variations: rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. All models reach speeds of up to 180 km/h and can travel up to 505 km without recharging. The price is approximately $65,000.

Tesla Model S Plaid

Tesla has a whole lineup of electric cars, and among them, it's hard to highlight the best model: each one is good in its own way. Nevertheless, the Model S Plaid should be noted in our ranking. In terms of its technical characteristics, it is close to a supercar, as with a total power of three motors of 1000 hp, it reaches speeds of up to 320 km/h, and accelerates to a hundred in about 2 seconds.

The Tesla Model S Plaid has all the characteristics to be not only fast but also a comfortable means of transportation. Due to its excellent finish, the price of the car starts from $100,000, and this is far from the limit.

Audi E-TRON GT

A practical and beautiful sedan with the exterior of an electric car. According to the 2022 World Car of the Year rating, it has been recognized as a world-class car, which allows it to be classified as both fast and comfortable electric cars. It is perfect for both daily use and high-speed driving.

In the sports version, the engine has 637 hp and can accelerate to 250 km/h. The range is 472 km, which is generally considered an average indicator, but this is perhaps the only drawback of the car. The maximum price for a full set is $164,000.

Mercedes-Benz EQS

Mercedes constantly competes with BMW, but this time it won the race. The EQS crossover was recognized as the most luxurious electric car in 2022. Which is not surprising at all: spacious and comfortable, it has impressive technical characteristics and is ideal as a family car.

The engine power of over 650 hp provides noticeable speed (210 km/h) and fast acceleration (up to a hundred in 3.8 s). The luxury class interior will provide comfort for the whole family. The price starts at about 240,000 euros.

Nissan Ariya

The 2021 novelty from Nissan managed to win the love of buyers and receive positive reviews from experts. Thus, the electric car was awarded the Auto Express New Car Awards 2022 for its characteristics and, of course, excellent design.

Despite its large appearance, the Ariya is actually very maneuverable and convenient for the driver. All-wheel drive and the combined power of two electric motors allow speeds of up to 200 km/h and driving on different types of roads. The price of the electric crossover is quite democratic and is about $43,000 for the base configuration.

Hong Guang Mini EV

The tiny Chinese city car has become a real find for those who value compactness, maneuverability, and eco-friendliness. This "little one" in 2020 (at the time of its release) broke all sales records in its home country. There's nothing to be surprised about: tiny dimensions are perfectly suited for densely populated cities.

Hong Guang Mini EV has modest specifications: a 41 hp engine achieves speeds of up to 100 km/h. The range is 120 km. But the price is quite low: the base model starts at just $4,500!

Chevrolet Spark EV

The small, inexpensive, and nimble Chevrolet Spark is one of the most popular electric cars in the budget class. Despite its small size, it is in demand in big cities, where it's easier to drive and park.

The engine power is 130 hp, and the car can accelerate to 144 km/h. The maneuverable Chevrolet Spark in the base configuration is reasonably priced: starting from $20,000.

BMW iX

Powerful and stylish, the BMW iX is considered a worthy competitor to electric cars from Mercedes-Benz. However, the difference between the cars is so great that comparing them makes no sense. The word "BMW" speaks for itself: it's style, power, and boldness on the road.

The iX3 crossover is spacious and has different interior trim options: from premium to luxury. Despite its size, it has good maneuverability, and the 500 hp engine reaches speeds of up to 180 km/h. The electric car can tackle some types of off-road terrain, which will appeal to nature enthusiasts. The price starts from 68,000 euros.

Opel Mokka-e

A novelty from Opel, which first saw the light in 2021. The model has been appreciated for its design and characteristics. For a mid-range family car, the Mokka-e's performance is quite impressive.

The 136 hp engine allows speeds of up to 150 km/h. With a 50 kWh battery, the range can reach up to 324 km. An excellent figure for a car that is often used outside the city. The price starts from 33,000 euros.

Toyota bZ4x

Toyota claims that the bZ4x will be a worthy competitor to the perennial RAV4. Of course, both externally and internally, these are different cars, but essentially, they both cater to the same demands. A crossover should be spacious, comfortable, and capable of easily traversing certain types of roads.

At the moment, the car is in the concept stage, and its exact specifications are not disclosed. However, you can already take a look at the design.

Hyundai Elantra Hybrid

It's time to get acquainted with some decent hybrids. Of course, there are many of them today, and choosing even a few of the best would be simply impossible - each of the cars is good in its niche. Nevertheless, the Hyundai Elantra is one of those that have been recognized as truly convenient for urban environments and everyday life.

Released in 2021, this hybrid made a lot of noise: after all, it was the world's only car that combined an electric motor and a gas engine. With a total power of 134 hp, the car reaches speeds of up to 188 km/h with low fuel consumption. And its price is pleasant - starting from 30,000 euros on average.

Toyota Prius

Despite its solid "age" (the models are already 20 years old), the Toyota Prius remains one of the best hybrid cars in the world. Capacity, maneuverability, driver comfort, and build quality allow the models to maintain leadership positions and not yield to "newcomers".

Interestingly, at the end of 2022, Toyota introduced an updated generation of the "Prius" in two versions: with standard hybrid charging and with charging from an external power grid. There are front-wheel drive and all-wheel-drive versions, with the most powerful one having 160 hp.

Volvo XC90

Powerful, impressive, and restrained, Volvo, as always, adheres to its own philosophy in creating cars. The XC90 became another successful experiment, showing that a large and spacious all-wheel-drive electric car can have impressive technical characteristics.

The engine has a total power of 420 hp, and fuel consumption is reduced to 2.5 liters/100 km. This is truly respectable. The price for this eco-friendly beauty ranges from 70,000 to 100,000 euros.

Lexus RX 450h

This hybrid crossover is a find for those who value comfort, safety, and eco-friendliness. The Lexus RX 450h is one of the best in its lineup, surpassing more modest cars.

Engine with a total power of 313 hp. With. delivers up to 200 km/h and accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds. It is noteworthy that the all-wheel drive electric car copes well with many types of surfaces, although it is usually taken for the city. The hybrid starts at $70,000.

Honda Fit

Small, but roomy, comfortable, and maneuverable, the Honda Fit is rightfully considered one of the most convenient hybrids. In its homeland, it is extremely popular, despite its considerable age - after all, the model has been produced since 2010.

The Honda Fit's fuel economy simply cannot be overstated. Not only does the car itself cost very little (from $6,000), but its fuel consumption is ridiculous - about 2.5 l/100 km. So everyone who wants to preserve the environment is recommended to take a closer look at this convenient “Japanese”.
