Volkswagen has launched the second generation of the T-Roc, one of the brand’s most popular models. The new vehicle has already arrived in Cyprus and represents a significant step forward in both design and technology. Featuring a completely redesigned exterior, a hybrid powertrain, and an expanded range of digital features, the new T-Roc retains the sporty character that made the model so successful.
New Design and More Space
The second-generation T-Roc has been developed almost entirely from scratch. The vehicle is 12 cm longer than its predecessor, resulting in improved proportions and increased interior space. Its new silhouette looks more dynamic and premium, while the distinctive rear styling now combines clean surfaces with upscale design elements.
Volkswagen has placed particular emphasis on lighting technology. Even the entry-level version comes equipped with LED headlights, while higher trim levels feature intelligent IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlights with an illuminated Volkswagen logo. A light strip extends across the entire front of the vehicle, creating the appearance of a futuristic next-generation SUV.

Digital Interior and Family Comfort
The interior of the new T-Roc has been significantly upgraded in terms of both quality and technology. Soft-touch materials, new decorative elements, and a fully digital architecture create a more premium atmosphere. The central infotainment display is now available in sizes up to 13 inches, while the digital instrument cluster offers enhanced connectivity and control features.
For the first time in the model’s history, a head-up display is available, projecting key driving information directly onto the windshield. Previously, this feature was reserved for more expensive Volkswagen models.
The new T-Roc is designed not only for younger drivers but also for families. Rear passenger space has been increased, and luggage capacity now reaches 475 litres. Higher-specification versions offer ergoActive ergonomic seats with a massage function, a particularly useful feature for long journeys across Cyprus.
Hybrid Powertrain and Advanced Safety Technologies
In the Cypriot market, the new Volkswagen T-Roc is currently offered with a 1.5-litre eTSI mild-hybrid petrol engine producing 150 horsepower. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and delivers a fuel consumption figure of approximately 5.5–6 litres per 100 kilometres.
The vehicle is built on Volkswagen’s MQB evo platform, which is also used in larger models within the brand’s lineup. As a result, the T-Roc benefits from a range of advanced driver-assistance systems, including intelligent Travel Assist, smartphone-controlled automated parking, and Exit Warning technology, which alerts occupants to approaching vehicles or cyclists when opening a door.
The model has also received the maximum five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP, confirming its high level of protection for both drivers and passengers.
