Toyota officially unveiled the new fully electric crossover Toyota bZ Woodland for the 2026 model year. Sales will start in the USA already in March at a price starting from 45.3 thousand dollars, which is equivalent to approximately 41.5 thousand euros. The new model is positioned as the most off-road capable vehicle in the brand’s electric lineup and is aimed at drivers for whom not only environmental friendliness but also high cross-country capability are important.
Design and off-road character
The Toyota bZ Woodland is based on the standard bZ, but received a more aggressive exterior and a pronounced off-road style. The crossover stands out with black plastic cladding on the wheel arches, roof rails, and 18-inch aluminum wheels. Optional off-road tires are available for outdoor enthusiasts, increasing traction on dirt and gravel surfaces.
All-wheel drive AWD X-MODE with an intelligent traction control system is included as standard equipment. This technology automatically redistributes torque between the axles, increasing vehicle stability off-road, on snow, or on wet asphalt. Thus, Toyota is focusing on the segment of electric SUVs with enhanced off-road capabilities, which in 2025–2026 demonstrates steady demand growth of more than 15% per year in the US market.
Technical specifications and performance
Under the hood of the new electric crossover is a dual-motor fully electric powertrain with 375 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 60 miles per hour, which corresponds to 0–97 km/h, takes only 4.4 seconds. This figure places the model among the most dynamic electric crossovers in its class.
Energy is supplied by a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 74.7 kWh. The manufacturer claims a range of up to 452 km on a single charge. Fast charging allows replenishing the energy level from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes, which corresponds to modern electric vehicle market standards. Support for accelerated charging is especially important against the background of the development of fast charging station infrastructure in North America and Europe.

Interior and digital technologies
Inside, the Toyota bZ Woodland 2026 offers a modern digital space. The vehicle is equipped with a digital instrument panel and a multimedia system with a 14-inch touchscreen display. The cabin includes four USB Type-C ports, a multifunction heated steering wheel, and seats with Softex upholstery, which combines durability and comfort.
Even in the base version, the crossover receives a wide range of options. Standard equipment includes numerous heating systems, a digital key, dual-zone climate control, ambient interior lighting, and two wireless chargers for smartphones. This level of equipment makes the model competitive in the electric SUV segment priced up to 45 thousand euros.
Trim levels and premium options
The new electric vehicle will enter the market in two versions: bZ Woodland and bZ Woodland Premium. The top modification is complemented by a premium JBL audio system, heated front seats, a panoramic glass roof, and a digital rearview mirror. In addition, the front seats receive ventilation and memory functions, which is especially relevant for family use.
The electric crossover segment continues to develop actively, and the launch of the Toyota bZ Woodland 2026 strengthens the brand’s position in its global electrification strategy. The company plans to significantly increase the share of electric vehicles in its global sales by the end of the decade, and new models of the bZ lineup play a key role in achieving these goals.
