The French automaker Renault has unveiled its futuREady strategy, which outlines the company’s development through 2030. The main goal is to strengthen the brand’s position both in Europe and globally, focusing on technology, new models, and expanding sales geography.
The company plans to launch 12 new vehicles by the end of the decade. Special attention is being given to the popular A and B segments, where the brand has traditionally been strong, while also actively developing the larger C and D categories. In these segments, Renault aims to increase its share through modern hybrid and electric solutions.
Focus on electric vehicles and hybrids
Electrification remains one of the key directions. Renault continues to develop both fully electric models and hybrid technologies. The E-Tech system will remain relevant even after 2030, helping drivers gradually transition to electric mobility.
The new lineup of electric vehicles will be built on the RGEV medium 2.0 platform. It will provide high energy efficiency, extended range, and ultra-fast charging thanks to an 800V architecture. Future models are expected to be capable of traveling up to 750 km on a single charge. In certain versions with an additional generator, the range could reach up to 1,400 km, making these vehicles more versatile for long-distance travel.

Next-generation technology and comfort
Renault is actively implementing digital solutions, turning vehicles into so-called software-defined systems. This is particularly evident in the commercial transport segment, where new electric vans are being developed with advanced electronics and over-the-air software update capabilities.
Special attention is also being given to driver and passenger comfort. The R-Space Lab concept offers a new approach to vehicle interiors, focusing on convenience, flexible space, and constant online connectivity.
Global ambitions and sales growth
By 2030, Renault aims to reach more than 2 million vehicle sales per year. Around 50% of these sales are expected to come from markets outside Europe, highlighting the company’s strong global expansion plans.
The company also plans to transition fully to electric vehicles in Europe and achieve 50% electrification in other markets. This aligns with the broader direction of the automotive industry and tightening environmental regulations worldwide.
What this means for the market
The futuREady strategy reflects Renault’s effort to adapt to the new realities of the automotive industry, where sustainability, technology, and flexibility play a key role. Amid increasing competition from Chinese brands and companies like Tesla, the French manufacturer is focusing on balancing affordability with innovation.
In the coming years, such approaches will determine which automakers can maintain leadership in a rapidly evolving market.
