Kia has officially revealed the specifications and pricing of the updated 2027 Seltos crossover for the U.S. market. Following its facelift, the vehicle features a more modern appearance, larger dimensions, and an expanded list of equipment. Visually, the Seltos now resembles the brand’s larger models, including the flagship Telluride SUV and the innovative EV9 electric crossover. Key updates include full LED lighting, a redesigned front grille, and refreshed body styling that makes the model stand out in urban traffic.
Upgraded Technology and Multimedia Features
Even the base version of the 2027 Kia Seltos comes standard with a 12.3-inch infotainment display. A digital instrument cluster complements the modern interior, while an expanded suite of electronic driver-assistance systems enhances safety in all driving conditions. Under the hood of the entry-level model is a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine producing 147 horsepower. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for smooth acceleration. Front-wheel drive comes as standard, while all-wheel drive is available as an option, allowing buyers to choose the configuration that best suits their needs.
What the Higher Trims Offer
Moving up the trim range, the 2027 Seltos gains a variety of premium features. Kia offers power-adjustable front seats, wireless smartphone charging, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and a power tailgate. An expanded package of active safety systems makes daily driving more comfortable and predictable. Even in heavy traffic, the vehicle’s technology helps drivers maintain control and confidence.

X-Line SX: The Rugged Flagship Version
At the top of the lineup sits the X-Line SX trim. This version stands out with its aggressive, off-road-inspired styling. A panoramic roof fills the cabin with natural light, while 19-inch alloy wheels give the crossover a bold and confident stance. Under the hood, the X-Line SX is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine delivering 190 horsepower. Unlike the base model, it comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. This combination provides strong performance and confident handling on more challenging surfaces.
Pricing and Future Hybrid Plans
The 2027 Kia Seltos starts at $24,990 in the United States for the entry-level trim. A fully equipped version is priced at $32,790. Kia also plans to launch a hybrid version of the updated Seltos in the U.S. market at a later date. However, official pricing for the hybrid model has not yet been announced. Industry analysts expect the hybrid variant to occupy a position between the conventional Seltos models and the brand’s more expensive offerings, delivering improved fuel efficiency without sacrificing performance.
