Cyprus Police has received 80 new Hyundai Tucson SUV 4×4 vehicles. The delivery followed Hyundai’s successful participation in the relevant government tender. The new vehicles are equipped with modern hybrid technology, a 4×4 all-wheel-drive system, and advanced safety and comfort features. This combination of specifications allows the vehicles to be used for official duties in a wide range of conditions.
The fleet upgrade is particularly important for units that regularly operate both in urban areas and outside cities, including areas with more challenging terrain and road conditions.
Hyundai delivered 80 vehicles to the police
Hyundai Cyprus Director Charalambos Papacharalambous said that the company had delivered 80 Hyundai Tucson SUV 4×4 vehicles to the police following the successful completion of a government tender. According to him, Hyundai expects the vehicles to make a significant contribution to the work and objectives of Cyprus Police. The company representative also highlighted the reliability and capabilities of the selected model.
The Hyundai Tucson is one of the brand’s popular models in the SUV segment. Its hybrid powertrain combines an internal combustion engine with electric technology, helping to reduce fuel consumption compared with similar conventional versions.

A new stage in the modernisation of Cyprus Police
The delivery of 80 Hyundai Tucson vehicles is another example of cooperation between the public and private sectors and forms part of the renewal of the Cyprus Police vehicle fleet. The new service vehicles are expected to improve the operational readiness of police units, provide officers with greater comfort while on duty, and enhance police capabilities when carrying out tasks on the roads.
The 4×4 all-wheel-drive system, hybrid technology, and modern safety systems make the Tucson a suitable option not only for urban use but also for roads with different surfaces and terrain.
