In China, the official premiere of the new electric crossover BYD Atto 3 took place, which will be sold in overseas markets under the name Atto 3 Evo. The model received a modern 800-volt architecture, an all-wheel drive system, and support for ultra-fast charging. In the top version, acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 3.9 seconds, placing the vehicle among the most dynamic representatives of its class.
Dimensions and technical platform
The BYD Atto 3 Evo belongs to the mid-size crossover segment. Its length is 4,455 mm, width — 1,875 mm, height — 1,615 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2,720 mm. These parameters provide a spacious interior and stability on the road.
The model is offered in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. The new 800-volt electric architecture significantly reduces charging time and increases overall system efficiency. This is especially relevant for the European market, where the network of fast charging stations is actively developing.
Interior and technologies
The interior of the new Atto 3 Evo features an updated digital environment. The vehicle includes a multifunction steering wheel with a column-mounted gear selector, an 8.8-inch digital instrument panel, and a multimedia system with a 15.6-inch touchscreen display. Wireless smartphone charging is also provided.
The manufacturer focuses on a combination of technology and practicality, which aligns with current trends in the electric vehicle market for 2025–2026. In new BYD models, special attention is given to software, driver assistance systems, and over-the-air updates.
Power, acceleration and range
The base rear-wheel-drive version is equipped with a single electric motor producing 308 hp and 380 Nm of torque. This is 107 hp more compared to the previous version of the model. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds, and the range reaches 650 km according to the CLTC cycle.
The all-wheel-drive modification received a dual-motor setup with a combined output of 443 hp and 580 Nm of torque. This version accelerates to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. A battery with a capacity of 74.88 kWh provides a range of up to 510 km on a single charge.
Prospects in the European market and BYD presence in Cyprus
BYD is actively expanding its presence in Europe, increasing competition with traditional car manufacturers and other electric vehicle brands. The company is already represented in several EU countries and continues to expand its dealer network.
In Cyprus, BYD vehicles are also officially available through authorized dealers. Electric models of the brand are becoming increasingly popular on the island thanks to government support programs for electric vehicles, reduced operating costs, and the development of charging infrastructure.
